Sendak Elementary, in partnership with East Valley High School, is offering English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for our Sendak parents, families, and community members. For the first semester, classes will be every Monday through Friday, from 8:30-10:30. 

Emphasis, in the ESL classes, is placed on beginning grammar and vocabulary, listening, speaking and reading, and development of writing through guided composition. Students will have a workbook and textbook to complete classroom and homework assignments. Students will be practicing with their peers to build their English language skills.

There are currently about 20 students enrolled. Applications will be accepted, as long as there is space. If we continue to have an abundance of interest for the ESL classes, there is the possibility of more classes being offered during the Fall.
